What is Lamivir HBV 100mg?

Lamivir HBV 100mg Tablet is used in the treatment of HIV infection and chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It prevents the multiplication of viruses in human cells. This stops the virus from producing new viruses and clears up your infection.

Lamivir HBV 100mg Tablet is not a cure for HIV or AIDS and only helps to decrease the amount of HIV in your body. This helps to lower your risk of getting HIV-related complications and improves your lifespan. It is prescribed in combination with other HIV medicines. Your doctor will recommend the best medicines for you and will decide the doses that you need. Follow carefully the instructions for all the medicines that you are given. It can be taken with or without food. Taking all these medicines regularly at the right times greatly increases their effectiveness and reduces the chances of HIV becoming resistant to them. It is important not to miss doses and to keep taking them until your doctor tells you it is safe to stop.

How Lamivir HBV 100mg Tablet (Lamivudine) Works:

Lamivir HBV 100mg Tablet is an antiviral medicine which has Lamivudine which work by preventing HIV (virus) from replicating and multiplying, hence reducing the amount of virus in your body by inhibiting the action of viral specified enzyme reverse transcriptase.

How Much Of The Lamivir HBV 100mg Tablet (Lamivudine) to Be Used:

Patients are always advise to follow their doctor’s prescriptions and instructions to take Lamivir HBV 100mg Tablet.

How To Take The Lamivir HBV 100mg Tablet (Lamivudine):

Lamivir HBV 100mg Tablet dose should be take at a fix time empty stomach. You need to swallow the whole tablet with water without chewing, breaking or crushing it. Try to take it 1 hr before food or 2 hrs after food.

Dosage:

Lamivir HBV 100mg Tablet contains, Lamivudine, which is use in the treatment of HIV Infection.  You must discuss with your doctor about the dosage and frequency of the doses because age and severity of the disease differ from patient to patient. You are also advise to complete the full treatment course.

Adults are advise to take Lamivir HBV 100mg Tablet at a fix time as instructed by their Doctor. You may take it with or without food. It is not recommend for the pediatric population, or Pregnant/ Breastfeeding women.

Overdose:

Contact your doctor or reach a nearby medical emergency center immediately if you suspect the overdose symptoms like flu like symptoms, skin rashes, allergic reactions, peripheral neuropathy, Insomnia, etc.

Do not share your tablets with anyone around you even if they are having similar symptoms. Always suggest they visit the doctor for effective treatment.  

Also do not share your needles or other things which are infect with your blood.   

Missed Dose:

Always try to take every dose of Lamivir Hbv Tablet on schedule timings and regularly. A miss dose may increase the risk of treatment failure so it should be take as soon as you remember. Skip the dose if it is the time for the next dose and do not double it at the time of next dose to make up the miss one.

Lamivir Hbv Tablet should be use cautiously in conditions like:

• Hypersensitivity
• Pregnant or Breastfeeding women
• Kidney (Renal Failure) and heart Diseases
• Liver disease
• Pancreatitis
• Eye Inflammation
• Diabetes
• Other virus Infections like HBV or HCV

Storage:

Store the Lamivir Hbv tablets at cool temperature in dark and dry place. Make sure that the tablets should be intact and not damaged while purchasing.
