What is Taffic 30 Mg Tablet?

Taffic 30 mg Tablet is an antiretroviral drug containing the active ingredient Bictegravir, Emtricitabine, and Tenofovir Alafenamide. It is used in the treatment of HIV-1 infection. It is a Human immunodeficiency virus that mainly occurs when a person’s immune system is attacked and weakened by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). This infection progressively weakens the immune system, making individuals more susceptible to opportunistic infections.

Do not take this drug if allergic to Taffic 30 mg Tablet and other ingredients. During the early stages of HIV-1 treatment, some patients may experience an inflammatory response to opportunistic infections. This condition is called immune reconstitution syndrome. It can occur after starting the drug or other antiretroviral therapies. Knowing this possibility and monitoring for any signs of worsening infections or inflammatory symptoms is necessary. Report to your doctor if you have had a history of heart failure, pancreatitis, bone disease, fractures, liver or kidney problems. Patients diagnosed with pancreatitis or at risk of pancreatitis should take this combination of medicine cautiously. During the treatment, your doctor may periodically monitor your blood counts, bone mineral density, and liver and kidney parameters to prevent serious complications.

Taffic 30 mg Tablet combines integrase strand transfer inhibitors and nucleoside, nucleotide analog reverse transcriptase inhibitors. It increases the number of CD4 T cells and stimulates the immune system to fight against infections. Thereby, it reduces the viral load of HIV in the blood and decreases the severity of HIV infection.

Pregnancy

Consult your physician if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy during the treatment with Taffic Tablet.  

Breast Feeding

Breastfeeding is not recommended in individuals taking a Taffic 30 mg Tablet because the medicine passes into the breast milk in small amounts and may harm your baby. Do not breastfeed during the treatment.   

Lungs

whether Taffic 30 mg Tablet is safe for patients with lung problems. Inform your physician if you have any lung disease before starting the treatment. Contact your doctor if you experience any lung-related symptoms.  

Liver

Taffic 30 mg Tablets should be cautiously administer in patients with severe liver diseases. Dose adjustments are necessary for severe liver failure. Inform your doctor if you have liver problems before initiating the therapy.  

Alcohol

It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking a Taffic 30 mg Tablet. It may reduce the drug’s effectiveness and can cause toxic side effects.  

Driving

Taffic 30 mg Tablets can make you feel dizzy and affect your concentration. Do not drive or operate machinery.
